Both Snellings and Gerald Giles have been renting household appliances since 1948. We rebranded our rental service ‘CareFree Renting’ in 2020.
When we speak to our exisiting customers many can remember their parents or grandparents renting a TV from Roy Snelling, Snellings were the pioneers with Television rental, back in the 1940s, and his close friend Gerald Giles complimented this with the rental of kitchen applainces, so we come from a good rental pedigree.

We have to process your application, including a credit check from CreditSafe. Once approved we aim to contact you within 24-48 hours to arrange the delivery of your goods. Delivery is usually within one week.
Our experienced engineers would aim to get to you within 2 working days. Most repairs can be resolved in your home, if this is not the case, we would leave a loan machine for the duration of the repair.
Snellings and Gerald Giles employees will always deliver and install your rental goods.
For the duration of rentals, all appliances remain the property of R C Snelling Ltd, so, any damage or loss must be paid for by the customer. Therefore, we require that customers cover our equipment with home contents insurance in the event of fire/flood/theft and accidental damage. The rental agreement includes the replacement cost of the product and this should be considered when taking out the agreement.
We offer payments through monthly Direct Debit.
No, delivery and installation are free.
No other fees are payable by the customer, so long as the equipment is cared for and contractual obligations are met. No admin fees.
Yes. They can be added to a customer account and may qualify for a discount. Please call us on 01603 711719 to discuss adding further items to your account.

Until a written notice of termination is given in accordance with our terms and conditions, all contracts continue thereafter for the minimum term at the current rate.
Rental agreements are 18-month minimum contracts.

All applications are subject to your status, which includes obtaining your credit file from CreditSafe.
No. We will be unable to offer a rental contract to anyone with an existing CCJ (County Court Judgment) against them.
All applicants must be over 18 years old and provide address details for the last three years in the UK. The applicant will need to be present to receive the goods and show an agreed form of photographic ID.
All rental applications are subject to the applicant’s status and will include obtaining your credit file from CreditSafe.
